Teaching Methodology

Our teaching methodology seeks to broaden a student’s horizon by engaging and challenging them through varied activities, making them successful both academically and socially. Students are also encouraged to develop questions, make choices, form opinions and reflect on their work, thus developing self-worth and an ability to assess and take ownership for their own progress.  Building a sense of responsibility towards the community and environment is at the core of all academic and co-curricular activities at IPS.

Highlights of the IPS Methodology:

o   Experiential learning techniques which span Multiple Intelligences, firmly rooted in our belief that every child is unique and all children can learn. Teachers are just facilitators.

o   Clear objectives-based approach to teaching, learning and assessments, focusing on building 21st century skills of Communication, Critical thinking, Collaboration and Creativity.

o   Developing the qualities of confidence, reflection, responsibility, innovation and being engaged amongst the teachers and students.

o   Differentiated instruction enabling educators to cater to learners across varied ability ranges and learning styles.

o   Collaborative Learning, Project Based Learning and Literacy Strategies applied across all curricular subjects.

o   Thematic learning over the entire academic year which serves to establish Inter-disciplinary links across subject areas, and grade levels, making cross-curricular learning relevant for the students.

o   Progress evaluation based on international pattern like online progression tests for Primary and Secondary levels.
